- Role and Responsibility:
- Provide continuous IT operational support according to the assigned rotating shift schedule.
- Monitor and respond to IT incidents affecting production, shopfloor operations, offices, and critical business services.
- Ensure the IT support function remains available outside normal office hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays according to the approved roster.
- Provide additional support during critical incidents, major outages, production ramp-up, or business continuity events.
- Provide immediate IT assistance for production lines, shopfloor workstations, industrial PCs, shared terminals, scanners, printers, and production-related peripherals.
- Coordinate with production line leaders, engineers, application owners, and specialized IT teams during incidents.
- Install, configure, replace, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, production PCs, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, scanners, and printers.
- Perform approved device setup using company standards and deployment procedures.
- Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate repair or replacement when necessary.
- Follow documented approval processes for access requests and changes.
- Escalate requests involving privileged, sensitive, or non-standard access.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting for wired network, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet, and local connectivity issues.
- Check physical connections, cables, network points, device status, IP configuration, and basic reachability.
- Monitor assigned dashboards, ticket queues, alerts, communication channels, and operational systems during the shift.
- Support the incident coordinator by collecting logs, screenshots, device information, and user feedback.
- Complete a structured handover before leaving the shift.
- Review all open, pending, escalated, and production-impacting tickets with the incoming technician.
- Highlight critical systems under observation, temporary workarounds, vendor cases, maintenance activities, and expected callbacks.
- Qualifications and Key skills:
- Diploma in Information Technology or Computer related technical field.
- Experience in IT production operations. Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, network connectivity, printers, user accounts, and standard workplace applications.
- Maintain professional attendance, punctuality, and shift readiness.
- Willing and medically fit to work on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Recent graduates who possess appropriate technical expertise, have completed internships, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn can also be considered.
- Specific skills (such as special certifications) - nice to have.
