ROLE OVERVIEW

 

As General Manager VAT Singapore, you will lead and further develop VAT’s business in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Reporting to the Global Head of Sales, you will hold full P&L responsibility, drive profitable growth, strengthen strategic customer relationships, and align the local organization with VAT’s global strategy and Business Units.

As VAT’s senior representative in Singapore, you will build a high-performing organization and ensure strong commercial execution, operational alignment, and sustainable business performance.

 

YOUR CHALLENGES

 

  • Develop and execute the business strategy for Singapore and Southeast Asia.
  • Own the Singapore P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and investment planning.
  • Drive profitable revenue growth, market share expansion, and new business development.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Lead the Singapore sales and marketing organization and strengthen sales planning, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with VAT’s Business Units and global functions to deliver customer value and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, culturally diverse organization and leadership team.
  • Ensure effective governance, compliance, risk management, and operational performance.

 

YOUR COMPETENCIES

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in semiconductor, high-tech equipment, industrial manufacturing, vacuum technology, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience leading a business or commercial organization with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong track record in profitable growth, business development, and market expansion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic customer relationships at executive level.
  • Strong commercial judgment, financial acumen, and execution discipline.
  • Experience working effectively in an international and matrixed organization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Fluent business English and willingness to travel approximately 20%
