POSITION SUMMARY:  

 

The General Manager will be responsible for the business in India especially for engineering, sales and marketing relevant activities. 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Lead India field applications engineering office. 

  • Collaborate with VAT business units and functions to develop and execute a long-term VAT India strategy.  

  • Lead and manage team's performance and activities. 

  • Maintain C-level relationship with key customers and distributors and establish new connections for future business in semiconductors, general vacuum industry, and related industries. 

  • Own full P&L responsibility for the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. 

  • Drive profitable specification wins, product and service revenue growth to meet business goals. 

  • Oversee India business operations in alignment with global functions. 

  • Create and implement revenue, spec win and market share growth strategies through collaboration with VAT’s three business units. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in the organization to achieve VAT’s strategic goals. 

  • Communicates all pertinent procedural, developmental, and fiscal information to management in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. 

  • Develop and strengthen a culture of performance and engagement across the organization. 

  • Steer and drive talent development initiatives and succession planning to sustain business growth and develop a strong team of internal talents  

  • Assist with development, planning, and implementation of strategic corporate goals. 

  • Translate the VAT corporate strategy into a measurable execution plan 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

  • Travel is required; approximately 40-50% should be expected. 

  • Multinational and cross-culture exposure  

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  

  • 10-15 years of heading engineering or account teams in hi-tech equipment firms, MNC work experience including an International assignment preferred.  

  • Exceptional technology and/or industry expertise, gained in vacuum technology or Semiconductor, or manufacturing industries serving similarly sophisticated and demanding clients. 

  • Analytical and solutions oriented thinker, able to operate in evolving structures.  

  • Experienced in developing clients based on CRM tools.  

  • Savvy with best practices in implementing project planning planning, forecasting strategies.  

  • Proven and comprehensive engineering program experience and in driving and managing growth.  

  • Knowledge of building and developing an organization with a multi-cultural approach.  

  • Proven proficiency in business development. 

  • Experienced in building and managing complex, strategic relationships.  

  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive change. 

  • Strong change leadership and proficient cross functional management skills 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, organizational and culture intelligent. 

  • Fluency in English. 

 

EDUCATION:   Degree-level education and added management schooling.
