JOB SUMMARY:
VAT is looking for an experienced and talented Account Manager to join our Applied Materials Global Account Team. The Account Manager is a critical member of the AMAT Global Account Team to lead all aspects of AMAT business in South East Asia, including field service issues, repair performance, forecasting, sub-tier relationships and quality while maintaining positive customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing business while increasing customer trust and loyalty, demonstrating strategic thinking and providing fact-driven proposals to solve complex problems by leveraging a globally matrixed team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work within a cross functional global team of engineers, technicians, customer service, product management and finance professionals to effectively execute the global sales strategy.
- Coordinate all phases of the opportunity pipeline, including identification of clear customer requirements, product selection, quotation, follow-up, and order capture – with clear updates and milestone targets tracked in the VAT CRM.
- Provide input to the sales forecast for the region, including sub-tiers.
- Manage field service and product quality escalations to resolution and closure.
- Manage sub-tiers relationships in the region.
- Drive specification wins progress with the AMAT team in India.
- Build customer system/tool roadmaps and work to displace the competition on legacy equipment and attain specification wins on all new system developments.
- Stay abreast of market intelligence and industry trends within the account. Report findings and subsequent opportunities to VAT management and product groups.
- Demonstrate leadership within peer groups and management, helping to propagate a #oneVAT team approach to the business.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required to service the customer and attend periodic conferences and tradeshows.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, ethical behavior and integrity in all activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year university technical or business degree is required (can be substituted with significant equivalent experience in the semiconductor industry).
- Experience managing a large, complex global account within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm and proven problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to work in a globally matrixed team environment, work under pressure and adapt to the demands of a changing environment.
- Vacuum technology and system architecture knowledge preferred.
