JOB TITLE: Field Application Engineering Team leader
BUSINESS UNIT: SEMI(non-KA), GSE, ADV,
REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager - China
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Lead a team of FAEs for SEMI non-KA, GSE, ADV within FAE CN department.
- Impress upon the organization and direct team the importance of creating a positive customer experience.
- Enable FAE CN department scalability.
- Be exposed to leadership and team management tasks.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management
- Manage day to day team activities of target markets or customers focused FAE team in the FAE CN department
- Mange all HR topcis of the team
- Train new team members in their role as different focused FAEs.
- Advise and guide team members on variant kinds business and technical details.
- Escalation:
- Provide FAE CN internal second level support for customers’ escalations.
- Strategy:
- Develop implementation strategies for account (or market) specific key elements of technology and product roadmaps (VAT voice to customer)
- Communications
- Condense FAE feedback into technology and product roadmaps and project pipline in order to provide a unified voice to BUs and Corperate R&D (customer voice to VAT)
- Integrate IDM focused global FAE and feedback into key account NPI activities, escalation handling, product improvement projects, and product roadmap development
- Contribute team input and customer application knowledge to local and global reporting through account team meetings, local company meetings, QBRs, TRMs, account summits, global sales meetings.

- Cover Engineering Manager substitution tasks.

- Specification Wins: Number of Spec. Win projects, including NPI, Share gain, share defend, New Applications.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Affinity for people management and desire to care for individual team member and the whole team.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Awareness of on-time delivery, quality, and meeting commitments.
- Technical skills in the field of the customer processes, valve applications or platforms.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written) for communication with the headquarters.
- Ability to work in matrix organization as a strong team player.
- Ability to work independently, and especially comfortable with customers
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Computer literacy with confidence in using Windows programs - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Solid experience in vacuum engineering, preferably in the IC process or facility in OEM company or Fab.
- Extensive exposure to developing products on system or sub-system level preferable in SEMI / Display / Solar industries.
- Broad knowledge of VAT product range.
Desirable:
- Experience on leading a functional team or project team as a team leader or coordinator.
EDUCATION:
- University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Microelectronics or Vacuum related engineering disciplines.
- Master degree in engineering or management is a plus.
