JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Operations Manager is a critical member of the sales operations department and directly responsible for order management and inventory for one of VAT’s top accounts. The ideal candidate must be a very strong business process-oriented person and act as a partner to peer functions, such as sales, account teams, operations, finance and service. The Account Sales Operations Manager must have strong leadership abilities and have demonstrated an ability to bring a matrixed team of people together from various levels and functions in the company to achieve a common goal.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Be the main escalation point for all delivery and order management topics and work together with counterparts at the global VAT facilities to resolve issues quickly and pragmatically.   
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions with customers and internal stakeholders, in line with VAT corporate expectations.
  • Responsible for implementing efficient demand signal processes and programs that ensure accurate information flows between customer dashboards and VAT ERP systems.
  • Drive reliable monthly forecasting for discrete and consignment orders for a major Semiconductor OEM account.
  • Manage a diverse team of both direct and shared customer service resources, including goal setting and team development plans.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through monthly soft inventory processes, and periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Define and sustain appropriate finished good inventory levels to support VAT KPI’s while maintaining continuity of supply for a high churn Semiconductor OEM account.
  • Prepare and present executive level presentations, summary reports, spreadsheets, charts and analysis of data from multiple sources for internal and external use.
  • Drive projects through to completion in a globally matrixed company.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field required; MBA degree preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to develop complex reports and metrics.
  • Experience in operations, order and inventory management including experience managing teams and developing direct reports. 
  • Experience working a large, complex global account within the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience in business process engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Must have the ability to work in a globally matrixed team environment, work under pressure and adapt to the demands of a changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.
