JOB SUMMARY:

VAT is looking for an experienced and talented Sales Manager to join our Applied Materials Global Account Team. The Sales Manager is a critical member of the VAT Sales Team responsible for proactively driving sales, prospecting new potential business and reporting market intelligence back to the management team while maintaining positive customer satisfaction. As the primary point of contact with the customer base, it is critical that the Sales Manager represents the organization’s best interests and presents an image in line with VAT corporate expectations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing business while increasing customer trust and loyalty, demonstrating strategic thinking and providing fact-driven proposals to solve complex problems by leveraging a globally matrixed team.

 

 

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work within a cross functional global team of engineers, technicians, customer service, product management and finance professionals to effectively execute the global sales strategy.
  2. Develop quarterly and annual growth plans aimed at increasing market share and driving strategic corporate objectives.
  3. Work with assigned customer business units to identify opportunities for VAT to add value with custom solutions across all product lines and services.
  4. Coordinate all phases of the opportunity pipeline, including identification of clear customer requirements, product selection, quotation, follow-up, and order capture – with clear updates and milestone targets tracked in the VAT CRM.
  5. Understand the TAM and SAM of assigned customer business units.
  6. Prepare and present strategic plans to all levels of the VAT organization.
  7. Build customer system/tool roadmaps and work to displace the competition on legacy equipment and attain specification wins on all new system developments.
  8. Stay abreast of market intelligence and industry trends within the account. Report findings and subsequent opportunities to VAT management and product groups.
  9. Demonstrate leadership within peer groups and management, helping to propagate a #oneVAT team approach to the business.
  10. Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and VAT.
  11. Travel domestically and internationally as required to service the customer and attend periodic conferences and tradeshows.
  12. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, ethical behavior and integrity in all activities.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 4-year university technical or business degree is required (can be substituted with significant equivalent experience in the semiconductor industry).
  2. Master’s degree, MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  3. Experience managing a large, complex global account within the semiconductor industry.
  4. Strong interpersonal, time management, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  5. Creativity, enthusiasm and proven problem-solving skills.
  6. Must have the ability to work in a globally matrixed team environment, work under pressure and adapt to the demands of a changing environment.
  7. Vacuum technology and system architecture knowledge preferred.
