Repair Technician

 

As a Repair Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting our advanced vacuum valve systems through hands-on technical service. This position is perfect for a self-motivated      problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments, and takes pride in delivering top-tier service and solutions to customers in the semiconductor industry.

 

 

YOUR CHALLENGES

 

• Provides in-house advanced level technical support to evaluate, troubleshoot and repair VAT products
Operate and maintain operational quality of system equipment
Serves as a customer contact for technical matters for the project at hand
Work with Product Groups about product challenges and providing detailed feedback on troubleshooting, service, repair, and product improvements
Monitor and maintain the service workflows to complete assigned daily tasks
Write concise, clear failure analysis reports
Leverage VAT ERP system and tools to select parts necessary for repair and order from the   spares depot
Complete the repair and test the product to factory specifications
Provide feedback to the factory for product development
• Must be available to work overtime as required

 

YOUR COMPETENCIES

 

  • A degree or certification in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of complex equipment.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of Basic Electronics and capable of reading drawings.
  • Computer skills - proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.
  • Experience: Prior experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or a similar role is highly valued.
  • Ability to function independently and multi-task is a must.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and collaborate effectively with team members is a must.
  • Physical Requirements: Capability to work in clean-room environments and to stand on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday, handle equipment safely. Ability to lift 50 pounds with frequent lift/ carry of 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
