Role Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is a critical member of the sales operations department and directly responsible for VAT US warehouse management and inventory. The ideal candidate must be a very strong business process-oriented person and act as a partner to peer functions, such as sales, account teams, operations, finance and service. The Logistics Coordinator must have strong leadership abilities and have demonstrated an ability to bring a matrixed team of people together from various levels and functions in the company to achieve a common goal.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track all domestic and international shipments to assure OTD of all products.
- Ensuring compliance with US Customs import/export tariff coding and related documentations.
- Generate shipping documents including BOL, SLI, Commercial & Proforma invoices.
- Transact inventory receipts and dispatches to and from domestic inventory (3PL) locations as directed by system workflows.
- Work in cross-functional team, inclusive of finance, sales, operations, to ensure timely and proper inventory transactions for efficient order-to-cash process.
- Recommend/establish, monitor, and maintain logistics policies and procedures around customer deliveries and special requirements.
- Ensure proper resolution to shipping damages, including product replacement, incident handling, and escalation to Swiss logistics team.
- Provide backup support for Shipping/Receiving functions in San Jose, CA warehouse.
- Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications, and costs.
Your profile:
- 3-5 years minimum Logistics experience inclusive of Incoterms, custom duty requirements, duty drawback, insurance claim, incident resolution.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, analytical and communication skills, creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive can do approach required.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment, work under pressure, and adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, in small to large groups, to top management, customers, and members of the materials management team.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
- Computer skills – proficient with MS Outlook, MS Dynamics CRM, and Office applications
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Warehouse organization skills.
The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $85,000 annually. In addition, this role participates in a competitive performance-based incentive plan, with total on-target earnings expected to exceed $90,000+, as well as comprehensive benefits. Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
