Position Title: Field Service Engineer (Career/New)
Hiring background
The opportunity to increase revenue through the creation of new businesses in the display industry has been identified in VAT-KR. Through this recruitment, VAT-KR will create a service expansion and support strong relation network for customers in Korea.
General Purpose of Job:
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is a key position to support customer to use VAT products with higher efficiency by fixing the troubles occurring at the customer sites and providing solutions for the customers. FSE needs to obtain the higher level of satisfaction from customers by executing field support functions (remote diagnosis, on-site trouble shooting, follow-ups after the troubleshooting, customer complaint handling and replying to questions from customers). FSE also needs to work closely with application team and sales team to understand the customer’s requirements and situations better.

Location:
Location : VAT office
Travel : When required regionally and internationally (less than 70% estimated)
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Perform remote diagnosis to resolve the cause of issue remotely if it is possible.
2. Perform on-site support to resolve the cause of issue when the remote troubleshooting does not work well.
3. Communicate with VAT Headquarter for critical/pending issues.
4. Escalate critical/pending issues to management in timely manner.
5. Perform the required activities (service report, trouble analysis report) after completion of customer claim.
6. Co-work with sales team/field application team for creation of new/additional business opportunities.
7. Share the customer information (organization change/any critical issue) with manager.
8. Share any idea of CIP which can resolve the pending issue with VAT Headquarter
9. Perform ERP update for field issue support.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• BS degree with Mechanical engineering, Electronic engineering, Electric engineering, Mechatronics engineering, Chemical engineering, Material science engineering
• Experience in SEMI/Display industry (Prefer >3yrs experience: Career)
• Strong customer focus and commitment for customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skill in Korean and English.
• Demonstrated skills in using computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Strong ownership/mind-set of teamwork, positive mind
• Prefer the good relationship with SEMI & Display OEM/End-users (Career)
• Prefer the experience of vacuum process/valve operation in SEMI/Display industry. (Career)
• Prefer the experience of VAT-Product in SEMI/Display industry. (Career)
• Prefer the technical competence for mechanical/electrical/software. (Career)
• Prefer the experience of remote and on-site issue diagnostic skill. (Career)
