Job Summary: Our company is currently seeking an experienced 8D Specialist and Project Manager. The successful candidate will provide training and guidance to our global team members on the methodology and execution of 8D problem-solving. Ideally, the candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, process improvement, and project management. We are also looking for someone who can demonstrate adaptability to existing structures, resilience, and creativity. Common sense for the achievable, presentation skills, combined with intercultural competencies and good self-reflection are key factors for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement training programs to teach our team members the 8D problem solving methodology.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and implementation of solutions. Besides training this will also include following up late cases with responsible people in business and operations and actively supporting their performance and closing activities.
• Review 8D actions and decide about effectiveness of initiated changes.
• Identify and escalate issues that may impact the success of the project and work with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Act as a project leader on other projects as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or project management. An active project management certification according to IPMA Level D and higher or an equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in technically leading cross-functional teams and implementing process improvements.
• Strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Fluency in both English and German, both written and verbal, is required as the candidate will be working with teams in both languages.
• The candidate should be willing to travel on an infrequent basis (1 to 2 times per year) as the job may require visits to other VAT locations.
