Purpose of the Role 

The Project Manager Facility is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering new construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects at the Haag site. The role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with operational requirements, while supporting the ongoing development of the site's building and technical infrastructure. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and coordinate new construction and renovation projects at the Haag site. 

  • Develop, plan, and lead construction projects, including site management, cost planning, budgeting, and project controlling. 

  • Design and advance HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitation) projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders. 

  • Prepare conceptual designs and coordinate project planning with external engineering and design consultants. 

  • Support building permit applications and approval processes in cooperation with external planning offices. 

  • Develop and maintain construction schedules while aligning project activities with ongoing site operations and project objectives. 

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project activities across construction, HVAC, electrical, building automation (MSR), cleanroom, and fire protection disciplines. 

  • Manage tendering processes and support contract awards in collaboration with the central procurement team. 

  • Oversee construction execution, ensuring compliance with quality, budget, and schedule requirements. 

  • Coordinate project acceptance activities, manage defect resolution, and ensure successful handover to end users. 

  • Participate in the on-call rotation team for technical alarms and emergency situations. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Completed technical education in a relevant field such as Installation Engineering, HVAC Planning, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline. 

  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken. 

  • Further education or professional development in Building Services Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field. 

  • Several years of professional experience in building services, construction, infrastructure, or project management environments. 

  • Experience planning, coordinating, and delivering technical construction or infrastructure projects. 

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with an interest in developing and implementing new solutions. 

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence project outcomes effectively. 

  • Structured, organized, and results-oriented approach to work. 

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and openness to new challenges and experiences. 

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer-oriented mindset.
