Production Team Coordinator Machining
Purpose of the Role
The Production Team Coordinator Machining coordinates and manages the operational activities within the Machining production area to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-efficient manufacturing. The role ensures the optimal deployment of employees, machines, and resources while continuously improving processes, safety, and productivity within the area of responsibility.
Responsibilities

Act as deputy for the Team Leader during absences and ensure smooth production operations.

Coordinate and monitor daily production activities within the milling area.

Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, cost, on-time delivery, and occupational safety.

Plan and manage workforce deployment based on capacity requirements and employee qualifications.

Provide functional leadership, support, and development to employees within the area of responsibility.

Monitor and continuously optimize manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Ensure compliance with work instructions, quality standards, safety regulations, and 5S guidelines.

Analyze production KPIs and initiate and follow up on appropriate improvement measures.

Support the introduction of new products, processes, and manufacturing technologies.

Collaborate closely with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other relevant functions.

Manage escalations related to production deviations and coordinate immediate and corrective actions.
Qualifications

Willingness and availability to work in a two-shift operation.

Very good written and spoken German; basic English skills for collaboration in an international environment.

Completed technical vocational training as a Polymechaniker EFZ or a comparable qualification.

Several years of professional experience in an industrial production environment, preferably in CNC milling.

Experience coordinating production teams or working in a comparable leadership role.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes in CNC milling.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement processes, and relevant production KPIs.

Good knowledge of occupational safety, quality, and process stability.

Experience working with ERP systems, preferably D365, as well as good Microsoft Office skills.

Strong leadership and communication skills, combined with good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
