Product Manager

The role is responsible for managing the lifecycle and commercial success of VAT’s Valves & Modules portfolio, acting as the interface between customers, sales, and internal teams. It combines technical product management with strategic market and customer development.

Responsibilities

  • Own the responsibility for VAT's Valves & Modules product series.
  • Manage your valves product life cycle during all phases.
  • Own the interface to sales teams and customers for all technical aspects in defined markets.
  • Coordinate simultaneous developments of multiple product solutions according to customer requests and product roadmap.
  • Monitor and optimize profitability of product lines and regions. Implement value pricing and value propositions.
  • Cooperate with all BU’s of VAT to take advantage of synergies in product offering to ADV customers.
  • Identify market trends and technical roadmaps of customers to derive needs for adaptation of VAT’s product offering.
  • Support the sales entities of VAT group in product training, customer acquisition, product presentations and negotiations.
  • Establish technical customer documentation like manuals and product data sheets according to applicable regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in science or engineering. A good know how of mechanical and electrical systems and vacuum experience is required.
  • Additional degree in economics and / or marketing or successful record of accomplishment in a commercial position.
  • Fluent in English, ability to negotiate in speaking and writing. Fluency in German is of advantage.
  • Strong experience in managing international customers and projects on a global scale.
  • Powerful entrepreneur mindset and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to identify market developments and derive requirements that influence the future valve business.
  • Experience in product management is preferred.
