Product Manager (Business Development), 80-100%

For its Semiconductor Solutions Group (SSG), VAT is looking for a talented Product Manager with good knowledge in process control and/or vacuum dynamics for Semiconductor chip manufacturing, as well as visionary views on the upcoming challenges of the leading edge SEMI applications. The role is a strategic product management position responsible for business development to transform the N+2 market requirements into technology and product roadmaps with underlying solid business cases.

The ideal candidate has a proven record of solving leading edge technical challenges for the Semiconductor market. You bring strong business acumen, demonstrate strategic thinking and know how to further build our customer trust and loyalty. You are able to provide fact driven proposals to solve complex problems and you are passionate to work with and further develop a globally matrixed team of experienced engineers and scientists.

YOUR CHALLENGES

• Owning the product offering for selected Horizon 2 products
• Acting as an initiator for new products in Semiconductor applications, particularly related to process control and vacuum dynamics
• Guiding the customer in finding better solutions for their high value challenges
• Initiating and driving the required innovation projects (technology and products) in the matrix organization

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• PhD or Master's Degree in sciences or engineering. Experience as a Product Manager is beneficial
• Profound technical background with keen perception
• Initial industry experience is preferred, ideally with knowhow of Semiconductor equipment or leading edge chip manufacturing processes
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit, high level of engagement, the ability for strategic and solution-oriented thinking and acting, as well as proactive and responsible teamwork complete your personal profile
• Fluent in English, ideally a good level of German
