Process Engineer NPI - Machining
YOUR CHALLENGES
- Working collaboratively in project teams for the development and introduction of new parts, focusing on improving and refining the processes involved.
- Collaborating with project teams for the development and implementation of new parts, with a focus on enhancing and refining the processes involved.
- Conducting NPI feasibility checks, contributing expert insights to guide decision-making.
- Assisting in the definition of manufacturing processes for new parts with a goal to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Guiding the release of tool designs for new parts and taking responsibility for defining new processes for machines and/or parts related to NPI.
- Applying lean production principles to define and refine the process landscape, optimizing and documenting new part implementation processes at existing workstations.
- Verifying production processes to reduce operation times, considering all stages - from initial part production to end-of-line inspection.
- Providing necessary training and support to production employees on a global scale, ensuring they understand and can apply the skills required for new parts implementation.
- Coordinating with other locations for support as required, serving as a global lead to solve NPI related issues in remote plants.
- Leading problem-solving teams across the organization and implementing the 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Developing production processes in remote plants to ensure successful parts relocation.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate strong communication skills, including proficiency in English, for effective cooperation with production and product management.
- Extensive experience in process analysis and optimization, particularly in the context of New Parts Introduction (NPI).
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling, with a demonstrated ability to forecast, plan, and manage production schedules effectively.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and inventory management, with the ability to balance supply and demand efficiently.
- Proven ability to apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize production planning processes.
- Projects management experience, particularly in the domain of change management.
- Strong analytical skills, an enjoyment of working on strategic issues, solution-oriented with a hands-on mentality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficiency in German and English.
