YOUR CHALLENGES:

• Lead Technology related innovation projects in collaboration with internal and external customers as well as suppliers
• Identify customer requirements and translate them into specifications for VAT components
• Extend network and partnerships with suppliers, customers, and R&D institutions
• Acquire and document Technology Know-How about the usage & application within the Semi-industry (lithography, inspection, deposition, etch, etc.)
• Link, consult and support the colleagues from the different Business Units, product management and development, simulation, production and test laboratory in elastomer topics within VAT
• Manage VAT’s elastomer portfolio and guide the qualification process for new elastomers and decide about the possible scope of application in vacuum valves

YOUR COMPETENCES:

• MSc or PhD Degree as Materials Scientist, Chemist or equivalent, preferably with knowledge on elastomers or rubber materials (FKM, FFKM, etc.)
• 5+ years of relevant experience, in sealing- surfaces, systems, materials, favored if within the semiconductor industry
• Knowledge on analytics and characterization of rubber compounds
• Knowledge of semiconductor processes are beneficial (plasma etch, CVD, PVD and vacuum processes)
• Good network with research partners and ideally within the semiconductor  industry
• English and German speaker, any other language will be considered advantageous
• Must be available to travel globally to suppliers and customers facilities (10-20%)
