Material Compliance Specialist (80-100%)
Location Haag | Switzerland
We are seeking a Material Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Material Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company's products and materials are compliant with all relevant regulations and standards, including environmental regulations, health and safety regulations, and product labeling requirements.
Your main Tasks:
- Collaborate with product development and supply chain teams to identify potential compliance issues and develop solutions
- Conduct material compliance assessments, including substance disclosures and restricted substance lists
- Conduct training sessions for employees on material compliance issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes related to material compliance
- Monitor and analyze regulatory requirements related to materials and product compliance
- Support the global Head of Material Compliance with develop and implement processes and guidelines for ensuring compliance with regulations, including testing and certification requirements
- Support a systematic compliance documentation and reporting, including maintaining accurate records and reports
Your required abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, environmental science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in material compliance or a related field
- Knowledge of global environmental regulations, including REACH, RoHS, TSCA and California Proposition 65
- Familiarity with product labeling requirements, such as GHS and CLP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both languages English and German
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel is up to 10%
