To support our hardware and software team we are looking for a dedicated and versatile personality in the role as:

Internship – Mechatronics Engineering (HW/SW development)

You are responsible to accomplish the development of innovative mechatronics hardware solutions and their support throughout the entire product life cycle, primarily for the control valves and motion components sector within the mechatronics team of the business unit BU-SEMI.

Your tasks:

• Development & support of innovative hardware solutions in the field of electronics / mechatronics / drive technology
• Functional model development: design / engineering / manufacturing / testing / verification / release
• Adaptation or expansion of product-specific valve controller modules
• Cross-divisional development-support of new mechatronics products
• Commissioning of control-based prototypes and engineering-support during initial tests
• Verification of the implemented hardware and software functionalities within the product evaluation
• Initial sample tests for prototypes based on the currently valid standards up to series approval
• Provision of the necessary documentation to reach the production maturity
• Technical and economic optimization of existing products and assortments (value engineering)
• Implementation of quality assurance measures

Education level and interests:

• Technical education in Electronics / Mechatronics (active student / graduation level)
• Interested in teamwork in a dynamic development department with an international customer environment
• Personal motivation and drive to achieve challenging goals and to set standards

In the mechatronics team, basic technologies and standards are developed, which subsequently find their application in the final products of the respective business units within VAT. You work independently or in a team on development projects or defined tasks under the guidance of an experienced product manager or project manager.
