YOUR CHALLENGES
In order to develop advanced mechatronics products, we are looking to bolster our competences in the domain of control of electrical machines and drives.
In addition your responsibilities are:
- Modeling and simulation of electrical machines and drives with Matlab/Simulink
- Synthesis of real-time controllers for electrical machines
- Development of state-observers for advanced features
- Exporting developed algorithms to microcontroller programming in C
- Testing and validation of the controlled systems
- Cooperate with cross-functional team of experts within VAT R&D organization and hubs (in Haag, Mendrisio and Zurich)
YOUR COMPETENCES
- Engineering Degree (MSc) in mechatronics engineering, electronics or similar (PhD in mechatronics or electrical drives is advantageous)
- Solid (5+ years) track record in controlling of electrical drives and actuators
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink is a must
- Good knowledge of laboratory equipment is mandatory
- Experience with programming microcontrollers in C is beneficial
- Experience in system control and observation, as well as system identification, is highly beneficial
- Capability of designing electromagnetic actuators and performing FEMs is beneficial
- Knowledge in design and understanding of motor hardware platforms is highly appreciated
- Hands-on, systematic approach, creative thinker with problem-solving skills and a team player
