Technician I - Vulcanization 1

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: 
•    Execute moulding of elastomer to aluminium substrate according to planned work orders and deliver minimum defined output within allocated production time.
•    Setup and operate press in the clean room work area to carry out vulcanizing of elastomer into seals that fulfilled production standards and specifications.
•    Perform operations in the clean room work area to meet expected quality, production standards and cleanliness requirements.
•    Perform check and control of process settings during production to ensure product quality are met.
•    Perform deflash and first inspection on moulded articles in real time to monitor moulded articles quality and feedback to senior technician for troubleshooting.
•    Retrieve, clean and prepare moulds subsequent cycle of vulcanization.
•    Move molded articles to the next operation step as required.
•    Operate post-cure ovens (load part, run post-cure programs, unload part)
•    Move molded articles to the next operation step as required.
•    Operate cleaning/ etching machines.
•    Perform cleaning and etching of moulded articles and carry out wipe test according to procedures.
•    Conduct mechanical treatments to moulded articles according to products specifications with reference to relevant work instructions, e.g. flatness verification, grinding, polishing, etc. 
•    Plans schedules in the clean-up, maintenance, and repair of moluds to ensure ongoing quality and accuracy of molded products.
•    Examines, evaluates, and trouble shoots moulds to identify malfunction. Performs repair and coordinates with superior when necessary to remanufacture or rebuild parts.
•    6S/ housekeeping of facility, machines, tools, fixtures and work areas to required standard. 
•    Maintain process record of production part into process flow cards for traceability.
•    Accurate data entry and timely in D365 (cost point confirmation)
•    Accurate data entry and timely in production report (output, yield, time loss, event)
•    Follow all given procedures and guidelines.
•    Perform miscellaneous duties as necessary.

 

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
•    High school diploma or similar educational degree
•    2 - 3 years working experience in an industrial production environment
•    Basic knowhow in plastics molding or mechanics 
•    Able to read technical drawings.
•    Good understanding of English and Malay
•    Readiness to work in shifts and clean room environment.
•    Must be able to routinely lift 15 to 35 kg daily.
•    Pronounced quality awareness.
