The Supply Chain Team Lead will fulfil a central key role in our company. He/she will be responsible for fully owning and driving all supply chain activities for the assigned product series. This includes ensuring on-time delivery to customers, meeting customer lead time requirements, and eliminating order backlog to maintain smooth operations. The role also involves managing cost of goods sold (COGS) to achieve a healthy contribution margin, while continuously improving efficiency, coordination, and supply performance across the end-to-end process.

 

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • Manage supply chain and operations of product lines in the VAT network - Malaysia and may connect globally with global team with Switzerland and Romania.
  • Lead (functional and disciplinary) a team of end-to-end customer order planning team for your dedicated Product Line.
  • Represent the centrally managed operations unit and be responsible for the entire product life cycle.
  • Coordinate the interface between operations, strategic purchasing, materials management, supply chain planning and order fulfillment in order to continuously improve and manage on time delivery, product quality and overall product costs of our product lines.
  • Work closely with the product managers to identify market trends at an early stage and derive the right measures from them.
  • Single point of contact on matters related to order fulfillment, for both mass pro and NPI, with stakeholders from Program Management, Design Engineering, Category Management, Purchasing, Key Account Management, Productions, Finance and Logistics.
  • Responsible and accountable for important KPIs e.g.: Customer OTDr & OTDc, Backlogs reduction, Leadtime reduction, COGS reduction, Ramp readiness etc.
  • Responsible for minimizing SMI as a result of component EOL, design change by internal or external request.
  • Coordinate with Business Unit, Program Managers and Global Account/Key Account Managers on customers forecast verification.
  • Work together with IE team and Category Management to prepare sufficient capacity internally and externally for any demand ramp, as well as cycle time improvement.
  • Work closely with internal team and Category Management to propose programs/ ideas to shorten material supply lead time as well as minimizing inventory holding, eg : frame contract negotiations, VMI projects, JIT, etc.
  • Ensure close collaboration with HQ PLSCM team to encourage knowledge exchange, planning process standardization, as well as RACI standardization.

 

Minimum Qualification:

 

  • University degree in Engineering, International Management and/or Economics, or Business Administration
  • Technical education and advanced education in procurement and supply chain management
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in developing industrial operations as well as tactical and strategic end to end supply chain
  • Project and strong cross functional management skills with stakeholder management focus.
  • Can- do attitude and very good communication skills in English
  • Results and customer orientated team player
  • Collaboration with internal departments including leading global projects and meetings
  • Active participation in the improvement of supply chain processes and management of cross-divisional projects
