The Supply Chain Data Analyst drives data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable insights into material availability, supply risks, and operational performance. The role leverages analytics, dashboards, and KPI monitoring to optimize planning, improve inventory visibility, support cross-functional decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain. 

 

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

 

Material Visibility & Shortage Analysis

  • Develop and maintain analytical dashboards to provide real-time visibility of gated / constrained materials impacting production and delivery.
  • Identify critical shortages and bottleneck materials and highlight priority actions for expediting.
  • Perform root cause analysis on missing parts (e.g., supplier delay, planning gap, system issue).
  • Support planners with actionable insights to accelerate component availability.

 

KPI Monitoring & Performance Management

  • Define and track key supply chain KPIs such as: 
    • Material availability vs demand
    • Past due PO / supplier OTD
    • Clear-to-Build (CTB) status
    • Inventory health (DIO, SMI, excess) 
  • Build and maintain automated dashboards for KPI tracking at planner and management level.
  • Monitor KPI deviations and drive corrective actions with planners and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular performance reporting and insights to management.

 

Data Analytics & Decision Support

  • Analyze large datasets (ERP, planning tools, supplier data) to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Convert complex data into clear insights and recommendations for supply chain planners.
  • Support scenario analysis (e.g., impact of shortages, demand changes, lead time variability).

 

Dashboard & System Development

  • Design and enhance dashboards using Power BI / Excel / other tools focusing on: 
    • Gated material visibility
    • Demand vs supply gaps
    • Inventory projection and coverage
    • Planner KPI performance
  • Ensure data integrity, standardization, and alignment across systems (e.g., D365, Power BI).

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps in supply chain planning and material flow.
  • Drive initiatives to: 
    • Improve data accuracy and transparency
    •  Enhance planning efficiency
    • Reduce shortages and excess inventory
  • Support global harmonization and best practice implementation.

 

 

Minimum Qualification     

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (Preferable in Business/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Data Science related field)
  • Minimum 5+ years of working experience in Supply Chain related field. (Preferable in inventory management)
  • Proficient in English Communication and Presentation
  • Strong logical mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional department effectively.
  • Absolute integrity 

 

 

Preferred Qualification    

  • ERP System (Preferred in D365) 
  • Supply Chain Analysis (Preferred in supporting buyer/planner)
  • Microsoft Power BI, Excel Macro and Advanced Planning Tools
