We are seeking a software engineer who is responsible for development & release of new global systems for production and testing in VAT.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Actively contribute in NPI activities for development, implementation, and release of robust End-Of-Line testing process.
• Support cross-functional team initiatives to continuously improve production line quality, safety and productivity.
• Full lifecycle Software Development
- Execute the entire software development life cycle for automated and system-controlled production and End-Of-Line testing software.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to gather user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop and implement software solutions that meet industry standards and comply with coding best practices.
• Programming and Testing
- Write well designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
- Integrate software components into a fully functional system.
- Create software verifications plans and quality assurance procedures.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Debug and upgrade existing systems.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
- Evaluate user feedback and deploy necessary updates.
- Provide 3rd level support to local sites.
• Work closely with counterparts from VAT Group for new Equipment, Process and System development for technological advancement related to software development.
• Engage in problem solving activities, implement corrective actions and effectively communicate those actions to all required personnel.
• Conduct training for Production Supervisor / Leader / assemblers in the use and applications of the software.
• Actively collaborate with global assembly process and test engineering team from headquarter for knowledge and technology transfer.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
• Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or related engineering field or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience of software development in LabVIEW.
• Pro-active, Organized, good team player and customer oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in English
Preferred Qualification
• Proficiency in software development (LabVIEW is a prerequisite, Python and TwinCAT is an asset) and software development methods.
• Excellent knowledge of relation database and SQL, Power BI knowledge is beneficial.
• Agile and Devops framework understanding are beneficial.
• Good knowledge of mechatronics is beneficial.
• Background of Automation and clean room environments is an advantage.
