A Metrology Engineer is involved in all aspects of production and is tasked with operating measuring programs as well as ISI. They oversee all Metrology/Inspection Equipment and are responsible for setting up and programming for both production and NPI parts. They uphold high standards of quality control, establish and strengthening quality gates and improve inspection productivity.


Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

 

  • Improve inspection and measurement cycle time.
  • Oversee the release and verification of internal and external parts and components, for example, preparing ISIR reports.
  • Perform Measurement System Analyses (MSA, Gauge R&R) and Result analyses.
  • Make disposition on NC and advise CAD/CAM, SDQ engineer on the improvement possibilities.
  • Train and coach Metrology Engineers, Technicians, and Operators to enhance their qualifications.
  • Manage both internal and external complaints and implement containment and corrective actions related to inventory, process, and quality issues.
  • Good understanding on technical drawings and conduct alignment with customer/supplier.
  • Monitoring and perform calibration on measurement equipment.
  • Maintain and create process/quality procedure, WI and OCAP.
  • Provide support on various quality-related issues/projects to achieve company and department goals.
  • Accountable to upkeep measurement and inspection data integrity.
     

 

Minimum Qualification : 

 

  • Bachelors Degree of Science/Engineering/Mathematics
  • Experience in CMM Programming (preferably Mitutoyo)
  • Knowledge and execute Measurement System Analyses (MSA, Gauge R&R) and Result analyses
  • Statistical Process Control
     

 

Preferred Qualification :

 

Experience in 

  • ISO 9001
  • 8D problem solving
  • Production, metrology and quality inspection
  • Experience with machining or machined components
