We are looking for a professional and passionate Project Manager to be part of our high-performing team by leading various projects at VAT, new product development, engineering customization product and product transfer projects.  You will be given an opportunity to manage multiple projects through VAT’s standard processes and responsible/involved throughout project milestones (end-to-end).  On top of that, you will have an opportunity to lead international and local project team and engage with the project’s stakeholders across VAT organization. 

The ideal project manager comes with strong ability to lead and work within diverse cross-functional teams by using deep knowledge in project management (best-practice, tools, and techniques), strong leadership, coordination and communication skills to secure the project’s KPI. 

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

• You will be assigned to New Product Development or Customization Product or Product Transfer Project (mainly from HQ to Malaysia plant).
• Lead project through VAT’s standard process and project milestone (Ideation, Concept, Design, prototype, verification, industrialize, commercialize) 
• You will work in close collaboration with various disciplines such as Product Manager, Product Designer, Buyer Specialist, Product Quality Engineer, New Product Introduction Engineer, Lab Engineer and may not limited to it. 
• Responsible to acquire project resources (team members) from various departments and form a project team accordingly. 
• Take a leadership role and navigate project team towards project goals.
• Develop project management plan, execution of the plan in a timely manner, consistently monitor project progress and actively attend to project risk, issue, or anything that could give a negative impact to a project. 
• Responsible for project KPIs (scope, schedule, project-cost and product-cost)
• Ensure all defined project deliverables are met
• Attend VAT Innovation Project Review for a status report, change request or project milestone approval.
• Provide project status report to superior, Management & key-stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Ensure communication and engagement with project key-stakeholders are always at the optimum level. 
• Utilize Project Management Software for project needs, efficiency and report generation. 
• Proactively contribute and support in continuous improvement activities.

Minimum Qualification :

• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline. 
• 5 years working experience as Program/Project Manager or Project Leader or Project Engineer or Project Coordinator 
• Experience in New Product Development or New Product Introduction (Manufacturing) or Product transfer project 
• Lead or work as part of cross-functional or international team.
• Excellent in communication (verbal and writing)

Preferred Qualification :

• Professional Project Management certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP from recognized organization (such as PMI, IPMA)
• Hands-on with project management software (such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Dynamic 365, etc.)
• Experience or knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, Vacuum-valve, Semi-conductor process/application.
• People management /people-manager role
