Reporting directly to the Staff Cleaning Process Control Engineer, the Process Engineer will work extensively on new site production readiness and process optimization for production startup. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the company for new implementations in cleaning process engineering to support production startup, qualification and NPI.
The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing environment with cleaning application. Candidate with chemical/ material background is preferred if you do not have relevant industrial experiences.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- To support new machine setup installation, safety buyoff & cleanliness qualification.
- New workstation and tooling setup based on process requirements with consideration of layout, workflow, efficiency and ergonomics.
- Review and improve on processes and procedures (handling equipment) and ensures that operators are kept updated of any changes.
- Work together with NPI, Fixture Designer, CADCAM Programmer and Production to support new product development and proposal for DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly).
- Support NPI for new products feasibility study and advise on required product cleaning workflow and packaging processes till realization.
- In-charge for contamination control and pre-packing of products.
- Establish quality control guideline and process monitoring of cleaning line to ensure cleaning performance fulfilled customer requirements/ specification.
- Participate in problem-solving for cleaning related issues in manufacturing: defining the problem, identifying objectives, assessing risk, developing approach, analysing results, implement corrective actions and effectively communicate those actions to all required personnel.
- Conduct training for production staff to equipped them with the skills and knowledge they need to perform efficiently and safely in a manufacturing setting.
- Support daily task as assigned by superior.
Minimum Qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience in cleaning related discipline (aqueous/ solvent cleaning, precision cleaning). Possess intermediate or advanced knowledge on cleaning physical chemistry.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Material Engineering/ Chemistry.
Preferred Qualification
- Ultrasonic/ mega sonic aqueous cleaning
- Surface science
- Chemistry of surfactant & acid etching
- Deionized Water/Ultra-Pure Water applications
- Surface preparation and analytical techniques
- Experience in high precision cleaning and lab analytical.
- Experience in high precision CNC machining.
