We are looking for an industrial enginnering engineer who is responsible to drive cross functional team to ensure capacity readiness according to customer requirements and improve efficiency with optimize material flow and layout to maximize the production productivity.
Your responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Conduct time studies, work measurement analysis, and process flow mapping to establish baseline data and identify opportunities for cycle time reduction and increased throughput.
- Support the Process Engineering team to develop and implement efficient production methods of work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for valve manufacturing lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to streamline processes and resolve operational issues.
- Design and optimize layouts for production areas, ensuring ergonomic workstations, efficient material flow, and adherence to safety standards.
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes on the valve production lines and identify areas for improvement in terms of productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production managers, quality engineers, and maintenance technicians, to identify and address bottlenecks and process constraints.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize inventory levels and ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 6S, to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train and mentor production staff on new process/material flow, and techniques to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare reports and present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in valve manufacturing and industrial engineering.
- Support all other tasks as assigned by Management
Key Competencies and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in valve production or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficient in using industrial engineering tools and software, such as AUTOCAD/DRAFTSIGHT, simulation software, and statistical analysis tools.
- Proficient in process optimization techniques, including time studies, work measurement, and value stream mapping.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Special Skills (such as special certifications)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing with hands-on experience in Lean Line Design,Flow oriented
Layout Planning, Value Stream Mapping & Design, Pull System-Kanban & Leveling, Motion time management (MTM), industrial engineering methodologies and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Familiarity with clean room & production environment and machining manufacturing/ assembly
processes.
