We are looking for a Graduate Trainee to join our team which will be key contact person for innovations, developments, analyses and technical questions in the field of high purity processes and applications for vacuum valves. 

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:  

  • Perform professional engineering evaluations and qualifications of VAT suppliers for surface treatments including high-purity cleaning, anodizing, plating, and micro-contamination control
  • Ability to review and understand international standards, VAT-specific standards and customer standards related to material composition, mechanical properties, surface treatment processes and high purity cleaning processes
  • Ability to review and understand product requirements for problem solving and decision-making when quality issues arise
  • Perform analysis of existing processes and identifies improvement potentials for improved process capability, process efficiency, and cost reductions
  • Perform Design of Experiments, review data and develop conclusions
  • Introduces and trains suppliers and internal team on VAT-specific processes, VAT standards, international standards and customer requirements.
  • Develop tools and trainings for process qualifications at suppliers
  • Coordinate and collaborate with suppliers and product groups regarding new projects and quality issues
  • Support the Purchasing department in sourcing and developing new supply chain concepts
  • Provide support during customer certifications and audits
  • Ability to review journal articles related to materials science and high purity cleaning for process innovations and developments
  • Support set up, implementation and testing of the internal Hard Anodizing and RGA lab facility

 

Minimum Qualification

  • Master’s / PhD degree in Materials Science & Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Chemistry
  • Completed studies in materials science, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or comparable fields of study, ideally with in-depth knowledge in contamination control and high purity cleaning process
  • Knowledge on surface treatment processes, semiconductor processing, high purity cleaning, surface chemistry and interactions
  • Experience with problem solving process (PSP), failure analysis (FA), design of experiments (DOE) & technical report writing
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent skills in project management, presentation, and documentation
  • Proficiency in English
