Job Summary

The Finance BPM Manager is responsible for driving operational efficiency and process excellence within the finance department. This role entails managing, designing, and implementing finance-related business processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance standards, and technological advancements. The Finance BPM Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, reduce costs, enhance financial reporting accuracy, and improve overall financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Design and Optimization:
    • Analyze existing finance workflows and identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
    • Redesign processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
    • Develop end-to-end documentation of finance processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with finance, accounting, IT, and other departments to understand business needs.
    • Act as a liaison between finance teams and technical stakeholders for process automation and system enhancements.
    • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to communicate process changes and gather feedback.
  3. Business Process Implementation:
    • Lead the execution of new or redesigned finance processes, ensuring seamless integration into operations.
    • Monitor implementation to address gaps or challenges in real-time.
  4. Technology Integration and Automation:
    • Partner with IT to identify and implement technologies that enhance financial process efficiency (e.g., ERP systems, RPA, BI tools).
    • Oversee automation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Develop KPIs and dashboards to track the performance of finance processes.
    • Provide periodic reports on process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiency gains.
  6. Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Ensure all finance processes comply with internal controls, regulatory standards, and external audit requirements.
    • Identify risks in current processes and recommend mitigative measures.
  7. Change Management:
    • Drive change management initiatives to embed a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.
    • Provide support and guidance to employees during process transitions.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in finance operations, process management, or business process improvement.
  • Proven track record of leading process optimization initiatives in a finance function.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and process automation tools (e.g., RPA).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, accounting principles, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with BPM frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen).
  • Technical aptitude with automation tools, BI software, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
