We are looking for a Design Engineer (Electrical) to join our team to in-charge of product heater design checker. The candidate will also be a subject expert to product electrical component and responsible to all tasks related to product electrical and best practice in the department Product Engineering.

 

Reporting directly to Team Leader Engineering (Mechatronics), you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the company to achieve product safety and quality excellence. You must have the ability to effectively work within diverse multi-functional teams, using deep knowledge of the category to drive improvements in quality, service, risk, cost, and technological capability of our product.

 

The role requires outstanding electrical and safety requirement knowledge, design organization, communication and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. Success in this role is dependent on design validation, design improvement of current product standards, strategic cross team support execution, customer satisfaction in-and-external, organization/people development.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • To be responsible in electrical design checker of kit heater based on headquarter design principal.
  • First article inspection, EE part sourcing and work closely with counterparts for new design or update of design principal.
  • Close contact to supplier regarding EE topic and keep in close technical discussion.
  • Electrical drawing design, amendment and cabling decision maker according to customer requirement and safety standard.
  • Collaborate hand in hand with mechanical design engineer to ensure kit heater design is up to customer specification.
  • Be the subject matter expert in product related electrical hardware such as position indicator and motor encoder.
  • Provide technical support to production, process and quality teams in troubleshooting of process failures concerning product electrical component.
  • Engage in problem solving activities, implement corrective actions and effectively communicate those actions to all required production and engineering personnel.
  • To be responsible in documentation of findings, specifications, designs and instructions of procedures.
  • To exercise expertise in supporting in competence community initiatives to build and sustain core competencies.
  • Support daily tasks assigned by management from time to time.

 

Minimum Qualification :

 

  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree of Engineering in the Electrical / Electronics, or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related industry.
  • Senior executives specializing in electrical systems with at least 3 years of working experience in related field.
  • Able to work in a team and possess good communication skills in English.
  • Experience in the field of equipment and automation will be added advantage.
  • Technical knowledge in machine development which includes electrical design of control systems and electrical system implementations for proper manufacturing requirement.
  • Strong analytical skills & Solution-oriented.
  • Organized, self-driven & -dependent, and result- & customer-oriented.

 

Preferred Qualification:

 

  • Certifications in electrical hands-on techniques - wiring, maintenance and installations.
  • Certifications in safety-related courses in electrical installations.
  • Familiar with European electrical standard such as DIN VDE 0105-100, DIN 40825, DIN 47100 or equivalent ISO safety standards.
  • Experienced user in CAD for electrical design (AUTOCAD).
  • Software development knowledge in automation such as PLC and C# will be added advantage.
  • Knowledge or certifications in heater or heating element design, robotics & automation technology will be added advantage.
