Job Overview:

Responsible for overseeing financial forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and strategic financial planning activities. This role will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, drive business decisions, and support the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and the quarterly forecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and other key financial metrics.
  • Collaborate with department heads to prepare accurate and timely budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and compare actual performance to budgeted/forecasted results, providing explanations for variances.

2. Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, highlighting financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyze profitability, cost structure, and other financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation.
  • Support the preparation of executive-level presentations and strategic financial reviews for senior leadership.

3. Business Partnership & Decision Support:

  • Act as a trusted business partner to key functional areas, including Sales, Operations, Marketing, and R&D, to provide financial insights and help guide decision-making.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to optimize operational efficiency, cost control, and revenue growth.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new investments, projects, and initiatives, providing financial modeling and ROI analysis.

4. Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes.
  • Lead efforts to streamline reporting workflows, implement financial systems enhancements, and leverage automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

5. Ad-Hoc Analysis & Special Projects:

  • Manage and perform special ad-hoc financial analyses, modeling, and reporting as needed by senior leadership or external stakeholders.
  • Lead or participate in strategic finance projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process improvements.

6. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment, ensuring that the FP&A team is aligned with business objectives and timelines.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.
    • Proven track record of managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting processes.
    • Experience with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and decision support.
  • Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
    • Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion) is a plus.
    • Ability to present complex financial data in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
