   The QDAS Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Quality Data Analysis Systems (QDAS) to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of quality assurance processes. This role requires expertise in data analysis, quality control methodologies, and software systems to support manufacturing or service processes. The QDAS Engineer works closely with quality assurance teams, production, and R&D departments to improve product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

 

  • QDAS Implementation and Maintenance
    • Configure, integrate, and maintain QDAS software (e.g., qs-STAT, solara.MP).
    • Ensure system compatibility with production processes and inspection equipment.
    • Perform regular updates and system optimization to improve functionality.
  • Data Collection and Analysis
    • Collect and analyze quality data from production processes and inspection systems.
    • Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, variations, and anomalies in data.
    • Generate reports on product quality, process capability, and compliance with standards.
  • Quality Control Support
    • Support quality assurance teams in developing and monitoring SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for defects and non-conformities.
    • Propose and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Training and Support
    • Train quality assurance staff and production teams on QDAS tools and statistical methods.
    • Provide technical support to resolve issues related to QDAS software and processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of quality systems.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through detailed reports and presentations.
  • Compliance and Documentation
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
    • Maintain thorough documentation of quality processes, software configurations, and analysis results.

 

Requirements:

  • Technical (Machinery or Polytechnical etc.) education with advanced training in quality management
  • Degree in quality management or engineering preferred

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related role.
  • Experience with QDAS software (e.g., qs-STAT, solara.MP) is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and SPC methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and tools (e.g., FMEA, CAPA, MSA).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and inspection technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB).
