FMEA Specialist

 Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and updating P-FMEA for new and serial projects, respecting internal project planning, specific customer requirements, other requirements, norms and procedures at VAT group level;
  • Direct relationship with the central FMEA organization within the VAT group and interaction with directly involved departments within VAT RO
  • Moderation of FMEA workshops for design and / or process FMEA
  • Support and define the strategy in your functional area and roll-out our new FMEA tool worldwide
  • Training and know-how transfer to our remote production sites in FMEA methodology on a global level in both languages (German and English)
  • Presentation of FMEA results to customers
  • Develop and maintain a good cross department collaboration
  • Support the Quality Organization during internal and external audits 

 

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related role.
  • Experience with FMEA software (Plato, Apis, CAQ) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency FMEA  methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and tools (e.g., FMEA, CAPA, MSA).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and inspection technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other data analysis tools.
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with industry-specific standards (e.g., automotive, aerospace, or medical devices).
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems for data integration
