Responsibilities:

•  Monitors and ensures the correct implementation of current legal regulations regarding Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Protection (coordinates internal departments to ensure compliance with applicable legislation); 
•  Ensures employee training, awareness, and verification according to the annual plan regarding legal requirements and rules related to Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Protection, through both types of training (on-the-job training and periodic training); 
•  Investigates, records, reports, and maintains control over records of work accidents, occupational diseases, technical incidents, and damages, together with the external service provider; 
•  Organizes quarterly H&S Committee (CSSM) meetings with VAT-RO committee members; 
•  Coordinates selective waste management and waste sorting in compliance with legal requirements; 
•  Ensures that Occupational Health & Safety action plans are implemented and verifies them monthly during factory tours together with internal departments and  the external service; 
•  Prepares documentation for obtaining environmental permits, agreements, and authorizations, as well as environmental documentation required for implementing various organizational activities; 
•  Responsible for managing and distributing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to VAT-RO employees; 
•  Actively involved in the CIP/Darwin program based on actions resulting from daily EHS tours; 
•  Acts with integrity and objectivity in all activities, complies with and promotes VAT-RO internal regulations and the VAT-RO Code of Conduct.

 

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Technical (Machinery or Polytechnical etc.) education with advanced training in quality management
  • Degree in quality management, environment, health & safety, engineering preferred
  • Solid PC skills (MS Office)
  • 4–5 years of experience in a related role
  • Certifications: Health and Safety Inspector (80 hours) and Risk Assessor (180–240 hours)
  • Internal auditor 14001/ 45001 certificate
  • Knowledge of analysis methods (5 Why, 8D)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for data integration

  • Good knowledge of specific HSE / Emergency (SU) / Environmental work instructions
  • Ability to organize and structure CSSM meetings
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to respond flexibly and manage various situations, including conflict and emotional scenarios
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and motivate both direct and indirect staff within the organization
