RESPONSABILITIES:
• Develop, implement, manage and improve capacity planning process incorporating all relevant external suppliers across X-tier levels identifying the individual constraints (eg: resources, sub components, etc) and providing transparency about excess/lack of capacities within the planning horizon and beyond
• Develop, implement and manage and improve corporate resource planning process that incorporates all resources (assets, staff) and provides transparency about excess/lack of capacities within the planning horizon and beyond
• Orchestrating X-tier actions in order to handle ramp up/down scenarios of overall/individual markets or key accounts
• Orchestrating actions across departments and plants in order to handle ramp up/down scenarios of overall/individual markets or key accounts
• Performs analysis on:
o forecast on component and supplier/resource level in order to indicate major developments and proactively identifies potentially impacted business (volume/BU/customer/region) in order to provide the relevant basis for S&OP meetings and decisions
o actual demand and forecasted demand (FC accuracy on MRP result), investigates on major deviations identifying and solving root causes
• identifying clusters/patterns in order to optimize capacity planning/strategy
• Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best strategy to support customer demand
• Communicate with external/internal suppliers if needed for coordination & clarification in terms of relevant changes of FC
• Trigger/coordinate implementation and change of planning strategies supporting relevant counterparts (eg.: PLSCM, Category mgmt., production and materials scheduling, etc.)
• Coordinate and work with the relevant external counterparts (suppliers) as well as internal (cross-functional) departments to ensure and optimize fulfillment of forecasted volumes and required flexibility
• Participates as a member of operations team making cross-functional operational decisions
KEY EXPERIENCES
• Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices
• Identify tools, processes and metrics to optimize demand planning processes
• Ability to contribute in a cross functional collaborative environment
• Ability to leverage metrics and other tools / reports to drive materials planning processes
• Experienced in coordinating and handling external partners (suppliers and customers)
COMPETENCIES
• At least 5 years’ experience in planning of customer forecast, market intelligence and/or S&OP process
• Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
• Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills
• Good analytical problem solving ability
• Data mgmt. skills beneficial:
• Advanced analysis methods
• Machine learning beneficial
• Big data mgmt./analytics
• Languages: English language (German is beneficial)
